Lead Clubmaker

About the Role:
We're looking for a skilled and passionate clubmaker to lead the build process at Tanso Golf. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for assembling premium forged iron and wedge sets to exact customer specifications. You'll work directly with the founder and play a critical role in delivering the quality and precision that defines our brand.

Responsibilities:
- Build custom iron and wedge sets to exact customer specifications — loft, lie, length, grip, shaft, and finish
- Perform precision club assembly including shaft installation, grip work, loft/lie adjustments, and swing weight balancing
- Operate and maintain club-building equipment including loft/lie machines, frequency analyzers, swing weight scales, and shaft pullers
- Conduct quality control inspections on every build before shipment
- Collaborate with the founder on custom fitting orders and special requests
- Manage inventory of heads, shafts, grips, and consumables
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop environment
- Assist with R&D builds, prototype testing, and product development when needed

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in professional club building or club repair
- Deep knowledge of club specifications: loft, lie, shaft flex/frequency, swing weight, MOI
- Proficiency with standard club-building tools and machinery
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and maintain consistent quality across builds
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage build queues and prioritize effectively
- Passion for golf and understanding of how equipment affects performance
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with the team and occasionally with customers
